JH Volleyball Results

The Rebels faced a tough Woodbury Central team last night.  The 7th grade team struggled with serving early in the 1st set and was not able to make up the deficit.  They played good volleyball but lost in the end because the wildcats just kept finding a way to get the ball over the net.  Serving plagued the Rebels again in the 2nd set.  The 7th grade team finishes their season 5-5.

The 8th grade team started slow and dropped the 1st set. Then came on strong the 2nd set winning by a good margin. Going into the 3rd set momentum was on the Rebels side but they just could not pull out the win.  The 8th grade team finishes their season 4-6

 

The Jr. Volleyball team traveled to Hinton last night.  The 7th grade team played well but was over powered in the end.  Holly Holtz lead the team serving 9 for 9, Shelby Skinner followed close behind serving 6-6 and Briley Pike served 6-7.   The 8th grade team had to fight hard to pull off the first game winning 24-22.  In the second game the Rebels were able to win with some great serving.  Kaity Anderson was 13-14, Samantha   Thompson was 12-14 and Katie Crawford was 11-14 on the night. the Rebels will play there last game on Thursday, October 15 against Woodbury Central in Sloan.

 

On Monday night the 7th grade volleyball team played Siouxland Christian's 8th grade and the 8th grade played a combined 7/8th grade Whiting team.  The 7th grade girls suffered a poor serving night which allowed the older Siouxland Christian team to over power them in the macth. The 8th grade was able to dominate Whiting by having one of the best serving nights of the season.  Katiy Anderson lead the Rebels serving 14-14 on the night.  Alisha Shreve followed close behind serving 12-12.

 

The jr. high volleyball team traveled to Mondamin last night to battle the Hawkeyes.  The 7th grade team started off the night with a 2-1 victory.  They were lead in serving by Holly Holtz with 13 of 14, and Shelby Skinner with 8 of 9.  The 8th grade followed the lead of the 7th graders and won 2-1.  They were lead by the perfect serving of Katie Crawford that was 16 for 16.  Kaity Anderson  was second in serving with 13 of 16.  Great job Rebels!!!!!

 

The Westwood Junior High Volleyball team traveled to Washta (the coldest place in Iowa) last night. The 7th grade team was able to beat the Wolverines 2-1 in a serving dual.  The rebels were lead in serving by Shelby Skinner that went 18/19, Brilee Pike 6/7, and Bailey Tucker 4/5. The 8th grade team also won 2-1 last night. They were lead in serving by  Kaity Anderson 15/15, Karissa Stewart 5/6, Sierra Hinrickson 6/8 and Katie Crawford 8/11. The Rebels will host Lawton-Bronson on Monday, Sept. 28th.  Please come out and support the Rebels.    


Jr. High Volleyball will have a game on Monday against Lawton-Bronson.
