Rebel Reader's ROAR
Mrs. Johnston's Rebel Readers have been reading the story Camping Catastrophe by Abby Klein. It is a story about a father, his son and his friend who go on an overnight camping trip full of funny mishaps. One night a bear comes through their campsite and eats their breakfast. On the day they finished the story, Mrs. Johnston surprised the class by bringing a real bear that had been made into a bear rug.
They also had fun reading some funny camping jokes at the end of the book. Here are a couple of their favorite ones:
Q. Why don't grizzlies wear shoes?
A. Because they like to walk around in their bear feet!
Q. What did the golden retriever take when he went camping?
A. A pup tent!
