JV Football Results!

The Westwood JV Football Team defeated West Monona 14-6 last night.  The young Rebels finish the season 6-1.  During the year they outscored their opponents 144-80.  The past two years the JV record is 14-1.  Congratulations to all the guys for another great season.

 

The Westwood JV Football Team improved its record to 5-1 with a 34-6 victory over Woodbury Central last night.  Offensive leaders for the Rebels were Sean Westergaard with three touchdowns and a two point conversion, Hunter Rea with a touchdown, Jeremiah Adams with a touchdown and Dillon LaBrune with a two point conversion.  On defense, Drew Brekke had an interception, JT Gengler had a fumble recovery, TariQ Walcott blocked a punt, and Keelan James insured the victory with an interception to end the Wildcats last drive.  The offensive and defensive lines dominated the line of scrimmage all night long for the Rebels.  The JV plays its last game of the season at West Monona next Monday.

 

The Westwood JV Football Team got back to their winning ways last night with a 26-14 win over OA-BCIG.  Hunter Rea, Brandon Dean, and Sean Westergaard all rushed for touchdowns as the offensive line open huge holes for the backs to run.  Westergaard also completed a touchdown pass to Jeremiah Adams to ice the game for the Rebels.  Dean added an extra point run to round out the scoring and JT Gengler had a pass interception on the next to last play of the game to seal the victory.  The Rebels are home again next Monday at 6 PM.

 

The Westwood JV Football Team improved to 2-0 last night with a 28-18 victory over Ponca.  The offensive line of Hunter Folsom, Dalton Craven, Dawson Drake, Harrison East, Trenton Dirks, TAriQ Walcott, Nathan Payne and David Munoz punched holes in the Ponca defense all night long.  Sean Westergaard started the scoring for the Rebels on a short touchdown run followed by a Bradon Dean two point conversion.  Dean opened the second half with a kick off return for a touch down.   Hunter Rea added two 4th quarter touchdowns and Westergaard had a two point conversion to round out the scoring for the young Rebels.  The JV travels to Mapleton next Monday to take on MV-AO.

 

The Westwood JV Football Team started the season with a 24-14 victory over Le Mars Gehlen last night.  Kody Berg and Bradon Dean each scored two touchdowns for the young Rebels.  The offense moved the ball well all night and the defense provided 4 turnovers.  Bradon Dean had two interceptions while Sean Westergaard added one interception.  Harrison had a fumble recovery to end another Gehlen drive.  The young Rebels will be back in action next Tuesday at home verse Ponca.
