Climate Improvement Program

We are excited to share information about a program that will be implemented in January, 2016.  We have a committee of teachers that have been trained and are planning activities that will be included in a PreK-12, bullying prevention program. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a schoolwide program designed to prevent or reduce bullying throughout the school setting. The multi-component approach involves individuals, classrooms, entire schools, as well as parents and communities, to successfully address bullying and increase peer relationships in schools. This researched-based program seeks to reduce bullying in schools and also helps to make school a safer, more positive place where students can achieve their greatest potential.

We care about the safety and well-being of our students.  We want to ensure that Westwood is a great place for all students to learn and grow.  We look forward to involving families and communities in this program.
