Wind Turbine / Glider Groups
The Advance Bio 2 classes competed in the STEM Wind Turbine challenge. They went to the 185th Air Refueling WIng to compete against other schools. They had built wind turbines to be judged on voltage output, design ideas and an interview. They also were in a glider challenge to build and see whose would go the furthest. Our groups did great. In the glider: WW 2 (Carah Drees, Blaine Dietschy, Conner Landon) came in 1st while WW 3 (Chloe Coover, Sami Kirk, Michaela Shepard) came in 3rd. In the Wind Turbine WW 1 (Jayden McFarland, Andrew Johnson, Blake Brinkman, Juliette Greuniesen, Brockton Rand) brought home the 1st place trophy while WW 5 (Wesley Wamberg, Natalie Shantz, Jayden Young, Brooke WIggs) brought home the 2nd place one.
